Hi again. I’m now halfway through my ninth week of my photography placement here at the Palace. After week four, I definitely found my flow, in amongst the falling autumnal leaves. The systems of working and teams that successfully run the site and keep it safe, welcoming and inclusive were initially a little difficult for me to settle into, but now that I am nearing the end of my time here, I am happy to say that I found ways to find that important harmony, and I have produced work that I am incredibly proud of.

I’ve had the privilege of creating some postcard designs to be sold in the Palace shop next year, I’ve photographed art workshops, created a Photography Competition presentation of which a photograph of mine was a winner in, produced photographic content for the Palace’s volunteer website, main website and social media platforms, photographed the yearly Artisan Christmas markets and the Remembrance poppies up by the Pumphouse.

This experience overall has been lovely, giving me not only creative self-worth and better life management skills, but has also put me in contact with many likeminded creatives and intellectual individuals who have given me rare nuggets of advice and information that will serve me well in my future endeavours. Many thanks to Siobhan Goodwin for offering me with this invaluable experience, Matt Groom for helping me build my professional digital media proficiency, and Jeremy Coles for providing me with future financial opportunities with the Bishop’s Palace.
