Would definitely recommend!

I am a year 12 student from Kings of Wessex Academy and have just completed my week’s work experience at the Bishop’s Palace. I really enjoyed it and would recommend this placement, especially if, like me, you are not completely set on what you would like to purse as a career as this opportunity allowed me to try so many different jobs and activities. As shown in the picture, I did some flower picking in the Palace’s community gardens which was so enjoyable to do and the result was beautiful. I also worked in the café which was busy at times and really made me appreciate hospitality workers so much more and seeing the behind-the-scenes of the setting was a great experience. One of my favourite things I did was a ten-minute guided tour I, and the other student I was doing the placement with, prepared and presented to our supervisor. It was extremely interesting learning about the history of the palace and working with my friend made the experience even better as we bounced ideas of each other and work together.
